Self-amalgamating tape can be used to repair and protect against corrosion on hose and plastic and metal tubes

Applications:
- Strip back the interleaving and stretch the tape to reduce its width by one third to keep the tape under tension and wrap over lapping successive layers by about 50%
- Finish the wrapping by holding the tape and snap by stretching
- High degree of stretching will prevent the inclusions of void and ensure a rapid self-amalgamation
Durability:
- Life of the tape exposed out of doors is expected to be several years
- If the tape will be subjected to abrasion an external covering by soft PVC tape is recommended
